About Hockaday
Hockaday was founded in 1913. The school’s history notes that its present North Dallas campus opened in 1961 after a 100-acre land donation.
Hockaday serves girls from prekindergarten through twelfth grade and describes its program around the founder’s four cornerstones: character, courtesy, scholarship and athletics.
How the school fits into a Dallas home search
The campus is north of the Park Cities and west of Preston Hollow’s central spine, so several established Dallas neighborhoods can offer practical access.
Families relocating for school often weigh home style, campus commute, work commute and access to central Dallas together rather than choosing by municipality alone.
Relocating around an independent school
Private-school enrollment does not work like a public attendance boundary. A family can compare several neighborhoods and choose the home that best balances school access, work commute, housing style, other children's schools and daily life. The best answer is often a corridor rather than one ZIP code.
Stonebriar does not represent the school and does not set or interpret its admission rules. Confirm current admission, calendar, transportation and campus information directly with the school before making a housing decision.
